We are thrilled to welcome Buck Meek — singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist of Big Thief — for an intimate night of luminous indie-folk and heartfelt storytelling. Known for his warm, conversational vocals and intricate guitar work, Meek’s solo material drifts between dusty Texas folk, cosmic Americana, and poetic indie rock. BUCK MEEK BIO: Raised in Texas, Meek began playing blues, folk, and swing at a young age and went on to study music at Berklee College of Music in Boston. After relocating to New York City, he busked in subway stations before forming Big Thief in 2015 alongside Adrianne Lenker and Max Oleartchik. With Big Thief, Meek has recorded multiple critically acclaimed albums, including Masterpiece, U.F.O.F. and Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You, and helped the band earn Grammy nominations and a devoted global following. In addition to his work with Big Thief, Meek has released a series of acclaimed solo albums. His self-titled debut (Buck Meek, 2018) introduced his evocative solo voice, followed by Two Saviors (2021), recorded with producer Andrew Sarlo, and Haunted Mountain (2023) on the 4AD label, which further expanded his sound and lyrical depth. Meek’s solo work is noted for its introspective narratives, gentle melodies, and emotional honesty. Meek’s artistic sensibility combines a deep reverence for folk traditions with a contemporary indie spirit, making him a distinctive voice in modern American music.
