| Save Ferris exploded out of Orange County, California’s thriving third-wave ska scene in the mid-1990s, quickly becoming one of the genre’s most recognizable and energetic acts. Fronted by the charismatic Monique Powell, the band built a devoted following through relentless touring, infectious horn-driven anthems, and a live show packed with punk attitude, pop hooks, and undeniable fun. After independently selling thousands of copies of their debut EP Introducing Save Ferris, the band signed with Epic Records and broke into the mainstream with their 1997 debut album It Means Everything. Their high-energy cover of Come On Eileen became an international hit, while songs like “The World Is New” and “Superspy” helped define the soundtrack of the late-’90s ska revival. Following years of international touring, festival appearances, and a successful follow-up album, Modified, the band went on hiatus before returning under Powell’s leadership. Since reuniting, Save Ferris has continued to prove that their blend of ska, punk, and pop remains as vibrant as ever, releasing new music, playing major festivals, and captivating both longtime fans and a new generation of listeners. Nearly three decades after their formation, Save Ferris continues to deliver the exuberant, horn-fueled performances that made them one of ska-punk’s most enduring and beloved bands. | |
